This learning sequence investigates how basic human needs are met and the natural resources that are consumed aboard an icebreaker en route to Antarctica. Students research life aboard Australia's newest icebreaker and structure research questions to guide their inquiries. They can deliver their findings as a written, spoken or image-based response. Classroom Antarctica is a collection of teaching and learning activities for Years 3 to 8 that provides a range of short investigations on topics aligned to the Australian Curriculum. The activities are supported by resources sourced from the Australian Antarctic Divisions' scientific and environmental program.
