  • This is a useful resource for the years 1 to 6 technologies curriculum. It provides resources that explore animal welfare issues in regard to food production in managed environments. It also provides useful lesson plans for the early years science curriculum exploring animal needs and care. The resources are also of interest for the ethical understandings general capability as it relates to the design and technologies curriculum and the business and economics curriculum. These lesson plans provide opportunties for students to explore the explicit and implicit values that underpin human interactions and responsibilities when dealing with domesticated animals.
