  • This resource is very useful for Year 1 Present and past family life. It deals with differences in family structure and changes over time, uses timelines and terms to designate time, stimulates exploration of differences in students' own lives compared with their grandparents'. It contains ready-made activities for teachers to use with students and practical suggestions for use of ICT. It features a picture gallery of objects from the past and videos of recreated lessons at the North Ryde Schoolhouse Museum. This resource is aligned to the knowledge and understanding in the Australian Curriculum: History.
