Investigating our ancient Aboriginal past

© State of New South Wales, Department of Education.

Students examine the diverse roles that historians and archaeologists play in investigating our ancient Aboriginal past. Coverage focuses on several key Aboriginal sites and then narrows to examine recent archaeological finds in Sydney’s North West and what they reveal about the nature and longevity of Aboriginal occupation of the region. Sydney Metro’s education program allows teachers to use major infrastructure projects as a real life teaching tool for years K to 10. This resource aims to support students along the Sydney Metro alignment to become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens.
