This professional learning module looks at student learning in science. It focuses on learning theories, cooperative learning and the use of student notebooking. The module consists of a DVD demonstrating the 5Es model for learning, techniques for planning and managing cooperative learning and student resources for recording their thinking with notebooking, a CD ROM that provides activities and resources and a supporting guide booklet. This resource is part of a suite of professional learning modules for 7 to 10 science teaching that support inquiry-based learning and implementing the Australian curriculum.
