This is a web page consisting of an overview and two illustrations of practice on the GeogSpace website, a resource for teachers. The illustrations are designed to help teachers develop mastery of the aims and basic ideas of the Australian Curriculum: Geography, and the ways in which it develops general capabilities and links with other subjects. Illustration 1 focuses on using presentations to support teaching practice. Illustration 2 is designed to help teachers improve their students' understanding of maps.
